Rural Community Conversations
April 1 - May 31
Visit. Listen. Be a Better Resource For Your Community.
Rural Community Conversations are coming to a place near you soon. UNC Rural connects rural communities with campus members from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in mutually beneficial ways. We also provide funding and supply resources to make these partnerships more effective. The results are two-fold: stronger rural communities and a stronger Carolina.
What are Rural Community Conversations
UNC Rural is traveling across NC to meet with rural community leaders like you. Our local partners in dozens of communities across the state are helping us coordinate a variety of meaningful meetings. Each community is unique so each community conversation will be too.
Why: To build trust and open communication between rural partners and UNC-CH. We’re working to be a better resource for rural communities across NC. Part of how we do that is meet people where they live, work and play. We hope this serves as a start to working together.
How: Introduce ourselves, listen to your priorities and return as a better resource. These in-person conversations are opportunities for you to get to know us better and for us to listen to what you love about your community and your hopes for the future. Your partnership interests will drive conversations with University leadership and inform how we can better serve rural communities.
Join: We value your insights and look forward to meeting you to learn more soon. Fill out the Partnership Interest Form below and check back here for more details soon!
